Pep Cuberes Esgleas
Koastal Forest Founder, Filmmaker & Storyteller.
Koastal Forest begins on 2014 in Santa Maria de Palautordera, Barcelona. His founder, Pep Cuberes, started filming freestyle on mountain bike, called Dirt Jump during his childhood. His crew awaked on him the passion for the audiovisual world, releasing his first documentary "Joyride, the short film" on 2014. From thenceforth, his plan to study architecture changed to media production.
In the meantime, Pep got his driving license and started to discover the mountains around his home town. It was there where he filmed his second video "The 4 seasons of Santa Fe del Montseny". It was right after publishing this work that his cousin offered him the possibility to join him on his trip to the Himalayas in order to film a documentary about ski mountaineering. It was probably there where Pep Cuberes decided he needed nature, videography and sport in his professional life.
He finished the double degree in Media Production and Audiovisuals & Multimedia on 2017. He decided to work up his own production company, Koastal Forest, and grow his local production into national, and nowadays, global.
His mindset about the future is clear, keep his freestyle and videography background attached to his other two passions: nature and outdoor sports. And that is how we do it here, fresh, dynamic and artistic.
